Overview

How is grip added to a non-slip sock?

Silicone is printed onto the sole in a pattern you choose, from full coverage for healthcare floors to light dots for studio and hotel use.

A non-slip sock is only as safe as its grip after fifty washes

The grip is the product. A hospital non-slip sock that sheds its silicone after twenty industrial wash cycles stops being a safety device and becomes a fall risk on the next audit. So the questions for a grip or anti-slip range are narrow and unforgiving: does the silicone stay bonded through high-temperature laundering, is the traction laid out for the surface it actually meets, and does the grip read the same on pair number one and pair number ten thousand. As a private-label and OEM manufacturer, Sihman Inc. builds the grip as an engineered layer rather than a printed afterthought, so it survives the environment it ships into.

Match the grip layout to the floor

Hospital tile, a barre studio, a fitness mat, and a toddler’s kitchen each ask for a different silicone layout, and the wrong one either slips or feels like sandpaper. We knit and grip to whichever of these your line needs, then tune density and coverage from there:

  • Full-sole dot grip: maximum traction for hospital, clinic, and senior-care non-slip ranges.
  • Perimeter band with toe and heel patches: studio hold for pilates, barre, and yoga without a full silicone footprint.
  • Directional tread bars: grip that bites on quick stops for fitness, dance, and indoor sport.
  • Light scatter dots: everyday slipper, home, and toddler safety socks where comfort leads.

Grip and sock color can also be coded by size or fall-risk level, a system many healthcare buyers rely on, and matched to your brand throughout.

Knit, gripped, and coded to your brief

You supply the layout, the colors, and any size or risk codes; we own the knit construction, the silicone application, and the quality control that keeps them consistent from the first 2,000 pairs through repeat runs of 5,000+. Production runs in Istanbul through our sister company Elteksan on combed-cotton and cotton-blend bodies with polyamide and elastane for fit, and because Sihman Inc. is a US company that imports as the importer of record, the socks arrive on one duty-paid landed price with the duties already inside it, so the per-pair cost stays workable at the volumes institutions and retailers actually buy.

Grip that holds, batch after batch

What separates a safety product from a liability is repeatability: the same traction, the same coding, the same bond strength on every pair across every reorder. That is the part we own for you, so your team can stand behind the grip long after the first delivery.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you match a specific grip layout?
Yes. Grip pattern, density, coverage, and single- or double-sided placement are all built to your spec, whether you need light traction or full-sole safety grip. We manufacture to your design and don't provide a separate design service.
Can grip color be coded by size?
Yes. Color-coding the grip or sock by size or risk level is common in healthcare and is straightforward for us to produce in your scheme.
Will the grip survive institutional laundering?
Yes. We apply the silicone to hold up through repeated high-temperature washing across runs from 2,000 to 5,000+ pairs.
Can you produce toeless or open-toe grip socks for pilates and barre?
Yes. Toeless and open-toe grip styles for pilates, barre, and yoga studios are both standard, with the silicone laid out for a studio floor rather than a hospital ward. We do not produce five-toe (toe-separated) socks in any style. You supply the artwork and we knit to it; we do not run a separate design service.
