From idea to sample to shelf

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Share your design or artwork, the sock type, yarns and any branding. Easiest of all: send us a sock you already like and we'll arrange courier pickup for a flat $45, then match it.

  2. 02

    We knit a sample

Our team produces a pre-production sample to your specification so you can check the knit, fit, colors and finish in hand.

  3. 03

    Approve, then scale

Once the sample is approved, we move to bulk production, from a 2,000-pair minimum, with the best value at 10,000+ pairs.

Work with us

How to start a sock production project with Sihman

Sihman manufactures private label and OEM socks from a 2,000 pair minimum per design, color, and size, made in Istanbul, Turkiye and delivered duty-paid to the US. To get an accurate quote in one reply instead of several, include the following in your first message:

  1. 1. Sock type and style. Crew, ankle, or no-show; grip, compression, athletic, dress, or kids.
  2. 2. A reference. The fastest start is a physical sock you already like: send it over and we will arrange courier pickup for a flat $45, so you do not have to organize international shipping yourself. A tech pack, design files, or sketches work too. If your design is confidential, say so; we will sign a mutual NDA before you share anything.
  3. 3. Target materials. Cotton, organic cotton, bamboo, modal, wool, or performance blends. Durable socks need roughly 20 percent synthetic content (polyamide and elastane); we will advise on the blend.
  4. 4. Quantity, colorways, and sizes. Quantity per design, number of colorways, and number of sizes. The 2,000 pair minimum applies per design, per color, per size, so one design in two sizes means 2,000 pairs of each size.
  5. 5. Branding. Knitted logos are standard, up to six thread colors; include Pantone references if you have them.
  6. 6. Packaging and labeling needs. Bagged dozens, retail-ready, or e-commerce prep.
  7. 7. Destination country and terms. We quote one duty-paid landed price to your door by default, with Sihman as importer of record for US orders. FOB Istanbul is available if you would rather manage freight and customs yourself, so tell us which you prefer.
  8. 8. Your timeline. Target launch or delivery date.
  9. 9. Who you are. Your company or brand name and website, plus billing details if you want a sample invoice in the first reply.

Where to send it: the Sock Production Form at sihman.com/socks-manufacturer, the contact form at sihman.com/contact, or email [email protected]. Phone: +1 972-246-8872. Email inquiries are welcome. If you have a sock you want matched, mention it and we will arrange courier pickup for it, a flat $45.

What happens next

  1. 1. Quote. You get a reply with a quote or clarifying questions within one business day.
  2. 2. Design review. We review your design with the production team and confirm construction, materials, and the per-pair pricing basis.
  3. 3. Sample. We knit a pre-production sample for your approval, typically in 2 to 3 weeks with delivery included. A sample is $300 per design and includes three pairs; grip, compression, and other specialty constructions start at $500.
  4. 4. Production. Bulk runs take 4 to 6 weeks after sample approval for orders up to 50,000 pairs, delivered duty-paid or FOB Istanbul.
  5. 5. Delivery. About 3 to 7 days by air or 20 to 45 days by sea, with tracking shared. For US delivery Sihman acts as importer of record, so you receive one duty-paid landed price with duties already inside it.

Ready when you are: send your brief to [email protected]. Minimum 2,000 pairs per design, color, and size; quote within one business day.

Sampling questions

Samples, answered

How does sampling work, and what does a sample cost? +
A custom sample costs $300 per design and includes three pairs with shipping; grip, compression, and other specialty constructions start at $500. Allow 2 to 3 weeks from the agreed tech pack, delivery included. Sampling starts once your design or reference is confirmed and the sample invoice is paid, and you approve the sample before any bulk production begins.
Is the sample fee credited toward my production order? +
Sample fees are quoted separately from production orders and are not credited by default. For larger programs, a credit toward production can be discussed during quoting. Sample development takes real technician and machine time on the same equipment as production, which is why samples are charged even for serious buyers.
I have a sock I want copied. Can I just send it to you? +
Yes, and it is the fastest way to start. Send us a physical sock you like and we will arrange courier pickup for a flat $45, so you do not have to organize international shipping yourself. Our production team measures and matches the construction, yarn, and finish, and can improve on it where you want changes. A reference sock removes more guesswork than any tech pack, so your first sample comes back closer to what you want.
Do I need a finished tech pack to request a sample? +
No. A tech pack helps, but artwork, design files, or a reference sock are enough to start. Sihman manufactures to your design and does not offer design services; our production team advises on construction, materials, and feasibility, and can match or improve on a reference sock.
